MKCE was commissioned to run the CFA (link) Peer 2 Peer project in Milton Keynes. Peer 2 Peer is part of a regional network of support for social enterprises. 9 organisations took part in the sessions which were based on an Action Learning Set methodology. Each month the organisations met to discuss the issues and challenges they faced in running their businesses. In a rapidly changing economic climate and restructuring the support was highly valued in the group.
“The Chief Executive role can be a lonely one. You have a board of trustees above you to report to and satisfy. You also have the staff to guide, direct and manage. You are in the middle and it is important to get some external input for yourself, both for support and to help to widen your perspective. My expectations of the P2P group at the outset were that it would provide a networking opportunity and a place to bring some issues to the table to get them aired and discussed.”
